Though on the smaller side of Corp campgrounds we have visited, this is the campground the rest are chasing.
It was MUCH better kept than most other parks we've been to. We will be back

We lost electricity for a few hours, but the staff worked diligently to keep us informed.

Fantastic lake views! Well maintained. Only issue we had was a power outage that was not the fault of the park. Electric company only got half the park electrical service and the part we were in was the section that didn't get service back. Just was very helpful assuring we were refunded for that night since we couldn't use our AC and it was too hot and we did not stay.

We stayed at one of the two screened shelters. Be aware the shelters are relatively close so I hope you like your neighbors. 😄 Not a lot to do at the campground if you don’t have a boat.

We stayed three nights in Speegleville Park at site 7. This was a very good, level site with a limited view of Waco lake but we still could see the gorgeous full moon over the lake. Site 4 has the prime location on the lake to us and when we stay here again we would want this site and stay longer. I just didn’t get to stay long enough in this great RV park and Waco.

The campsites were very clean and neat. The staff did an excellent job of keeping the park neat -- and of course, the campers were all very responsible. The lake was very low. (Drought is such a bummer for lakes and other things.) There was a lot of broken glass down below the high 20's and 30's campsite.
It was relaxing watching the deer delicately parade around looking for the best nibbles.
