The park was so clean and well groomed. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to wake up to a lake view in the morning. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of our camping area. We even got to see an armadillo.

Excellent campground! Only wish there were sewer hookups, but nonetheless awesome!

Just across the lake from Waco, it is very convenient to go into town. The park is clean and laid out well. We were on lot 25 which is long but it slopes from front to back and our 35 ft fifth wheel was difficult to level.

A beautiful park well maintained with lake Waco views. Sites are groomed between each visitor. There is abundant wildlife to entertain you with interesting sight seeing in Waco. The only real negatives are the shower houses could use a facelift and the almost daily rumblings from testing at spaceX.

We have stayed at Speegleville a number of times in the past. This time we found the campground was well tended to. Grass was moved, sites were very clean and raked, and fire pit was cleaned out with nothing left in except for a few ashes. It was a wonderful stay!

The sites were much larger than I expected. We could have literally parked 2 large diesel pushers in our site. Deer and armadillo were a common and pleasant sight each evening. The water surrounding the campgrounds topped off a very peaceful experience.

We used this location as a base for Waco attractions and a rest from 2 weeks of "work" in New Braunfels. We of course visited the Magnolia empire, which were outstanding. If entering from Waco, use the recommended off ramp, but if coming from the west or wanting to exit the park, use Speegleville on/off ramps, much easier while towing.
