What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We camped in the equestrian area, which allows pull-throughs, but is not paved. Rain left puddles here and there, but it was still fine. I like this park more and more every time I go to it.

Nice COE park located near the Dallas metro area. Site was gravel but very level. The sites I noticed all had a fire ring, sheltered table, and mostly a little shade. We were off from the lake but some sites are fairly near thereto. I would return.

It was an OK stopover. Lots of the camping area was wet and marshy. I noticed that many of the water and electrical boxes were in low ground full of water. I was uncomfortable hooking my 30 Amp cord while standing in water. The outlet was completely loose and worn causing me to have to tweak the plug to keep electrical continuity.

Some of the campgrounds sites flooded after a rainstorm. Gate closes at 10 PM and does not reopen until 10 AM, causing some stress to return to the park before closing and leave in the morning before 10 AM.

Various sites in the campground were flooded after a rain storm. The campground requires some maintenance and upkeep.

Overall, a nice place. Didn’t use the restrooms so can’t speak to that. However, I will say the grass needed mowing and there were very large muddy pools in the actual parking spots. Seems to me that this park isn’t as well cared for as some COE parks we’ve been in. But also not the worst! The camp hosts were nice. The park was close to full, and there were vehicles traveling over the speed limit in the park. And lots of kids out there playing. Maybe a bit more attention to that. Very quiet and pleasant overall!
