It was fantastic! The camp host was extremely helpful and amazing to talk with. The Campground itself was clean and well taken care of.
I could hear cows mooing from across the river, but they werenβt really a problem.
Having firewood for sale in the campground was a nice treat as well! Especially since I didnβt have cash and was able to pay for it electronically.
An absolute gem of a campground in an amazing place. Definitely will be returning!

The Green River Campground is wonderfully located. The backdrop of Split Mountain and the river was spectacular. The advantage over Split Mountain is that Green River sits in a bowl that allows for early access to morning sun and long sunsets. Split is deep in a canyon and colder. Some of the sites are very small and not suited for setting up a 4 person + tent - be sure to check the photos on Recreation.gov prior to booking. The campground was clean but the toilets were not cleaned regularly - we were there 3 nights and they were never cleaned.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this campground was. Campground was well maintained, restrooms were clean, and sites were not packed in there either. We enjoyed our camp hosts for the work they did as well. One suggestion would be to have dishwater sinks rather than drains on the ground. Better signage there would be helpful.
We did have a number of red ant hills with loads of ants we had to be careful of. More than we usually see while camping.
Would like to return back some day too.

We love Green River Campground at Dinosaur National Monument! We were a little early for prime cottonwood color this year, but the weather was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed hiking, biking and (of course) visiting the Quarry Exhibit Hall, which greatly exceeded our expectations. We plan to go back and float the Green River soon.

Green River Campground was surrounded by beautiful views! The facilities were clean and well tended. And itβs the perfect spot within easy reach of many amazing sights in Dinosaur National Monument. Sadly it was too cloudy to see the night sky in all the darkness there, but we will be back!
