About Green River Campground

The Green River Campground is located along the banks of the Green River at an elevation of 4,750 feet (1448 m). The highly eroded Split Mountain is visible to the north. The campground is about five miles (8 km) from the famous Quarry Exhibit Hall, where you can see 149 million year old dinosaur bones still encased in the rock. A short distance from the campground is the Split Mountain Boat Ramp where river rafters come off the Green River after trips through Dinosaur National Monument's canyons.

We stayed in site #1. It was a nicely shaded spot for most of the day, particularly in the late afternoon. Nice campground with good views. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in loop A right on the river and it was perfect! Site was very spacious. I only wish the restroom had more than 1 sink.

Beautiful. Great tent sites, lots of shade, uncrowded & clean bathrooms - at least the weekend we were there. Not terribly far from Vernal or Dinosaur NM visitor center. Highly recommended.

Green River campground is an amazing place to explore the Utah side of dinosaur national monument I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to explore the park and hike around the monument. It is not set up for direct river access but it is easy to get to the river a mile up the road at the split mountain campground.
