Great campsite. Great spacing from other sites, good shade behind the site under the rocks.

I visited in mid-November and the weather was a mixed bag, which was nice. I was not a fan of no lighting in the restrooms, which only provided skylights. During this time of year, daylight hours are limited and the restroom was not somewhere I wanted to be in the dark. Also, the shower situation was nonexistent for tent camping. We had to go into Moab to get that sorted since the shower that is usually available just outside the Visitor Center was closed for the season.
On the plus side, our neighbors were really quiet and I really enjoyed being at a campsite where the only sounds you heard were from nature. It might have helped that there was no cellphone service.
The rangers and the volunteers are the nicest. They really helped us during our stay with logistics and finding ideal trails. We decided to do a portion of the Chesler Park Loop Trail and I realized I was not as fit as I thought I was. In hindsight, my husband and I agreed that visiting the northern part of the park instead of doing Chesler would have been a better idea for my legs. The smaller trails are very nice and the views are beautiful.
