What Guests Are Saying
Timpooneke campground is praised for its stunning views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts who take great pride in maintaining the site. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, especially those with yurts, and the opportunities for hiking and enjoying nature. However, some noise from nearby roads and vehicles can be disruptive during the night, which may affect the overall camping experience.

This was a beautiful campground in the middle of a forest. No flushing toilets but they did have potable water spigots. It was a great experience, definitely going back.

Mike and Nola are AMAZING! So friendly and professional. They checked on us daily. They were quick to assist us with an issue, so willing and able. Love the camp site, the environment around us, the mountains, the different activities and opportunities that are available. But it makes it even that much better when there are two awesome, caring, friendly and professional hosts to make it that much more enjoyable.

Great location for different activities. Trailhead close by to go up the Scout Falls and Timpanogos. We brought up motor scooters to ride throughout the loop areas…amazing ride with plenty of awesome views. Encountered many bikers, good opportunities for biking. Large site with plenty of room. Able to get 5 large tents situated comfortable and not too close together. 10 min drive to Tibble Fork Resevoir. Then another 15 min drive up to Silver Lake. Hosts Mike and Nola are AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful. You can NOT go wrong with this site. It’s definitely one of the BEST you will find.

Very beautiful campground, a huge and private campsites, nice camp hosts, everything was good except 2 things: 1. an awful noise from firefighters cutting trees down. We understand that it was a necessary job, but at least they could not do it on weekend when people were trying to get a rest after working hard during the week; 2. the dumpster, which is located far away from campsites, was full and locked, so we were forced to take our garbage to home. We did not stay for free, we paid for garbage disposal too.

The campground it’s self was fine but it was extremely noisy for us. Lots of cars driving by late at night. The RV next to us had their generator on till midnight and then some kind of motor running all night long. Forest service was cutting down trees all day.

Excellent camp site, very well run and managed. Facilities and the yurt were extremely clean, and the bathrooms even smelled good, which is rare. Camp hosts were pleasant and very helpful. Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Location to trails was great. Most of all, the views, scenery, and wildlife sightings created am excellent experience.

Best group site I've ever used. Shaded, off the road(You drive through a stream to get to the private parking area), so quiet. The hosts were awesome. Did I mention a stream right through your camp! Beautiful.

I recently stayed 5 nights at Timpooneke Campgroud. The campground itself is lovely, wooded, lush and bathrooms were clean. However, for whatever reason, the forest service allows motorcycles/dirt bikes on a trail that goes above the campground. This is a pristine area with abundant wildlife. I have no idea why they would allow this. In addition there are many hikers on the trail. There was another trail we encountered at the summit that also allowed hiking and motorbikes and I'm sure there are others. The Alpine Loop is a beautiful road for motorcycles and I see no reason whatsoever that they should be allowing them on trails.
Our group of seniors was having a first night campfire when the camphosts came up and asked some members to show their senior passes which resulted in them having to leave to their campsites to obtain these. Although I know it says they can ask, this is the first time I have ever had a host ask for them and it was quite interfering.
