GeneralMora Road and Rialto Beach ConstructionIn 2019, severe winter flooding along the Quillayute River eroded the riverbank at mile post 1.25 on Mora Road. Temporary riprap was installed as an emergency measure, but a permanent fix is needed to protect long-term access to Rialto Beach. These repairs will fortify the road against continued river migration and flooding events.Between April and July 7, construction work will require a short single‑lane traffic section near milepost 1.25. The Dickey Boat Launch and trailer parking area will be closed for construction staging. No construction will occur during the Fourth of July weekend. From July 8–Oct. 5, construction crews will need to close both lanes to pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic beyond the Mora Campground. Rialto Beach will not be accessible via Mora Road during this construction period. Mora Campground will remain open.Visitors should consider alternative beaches, such as Ruby Beach, during the construction period. Please visit our Alerts & Conditions and Current Road Conditions pages for updates as construction dates change.

What Guests Are Saying
Mora Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites nestled in a lush coastal forest, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Its proximity to Rialto Beach and various hiking trails enhances the camping experience, making it an ideal base for exploring Olympic National Park. While some facilities, particularly bathrooms, could use more attention, and there are no showers available, the overall charm and natural beauty of the campground make it a favorite for many campers.

Great campground. Some sites seemed a lot larger than others.

Many of the sites that were listed as accessible for small trailers are not. The approach to 44 was at a 90 degree angle to the road and nearly impossible to back into. There was no camp ground host either.

Campground sites, facilities and environment were excellent, as anticipated. The bathrooms being out of paper for more than 1 day was unexpected and unnecessarily problematic.

I've stayed here several times and have always had an exceptional time. Unfortunately, my most recent reservation in July 2022 was a bit different. There were no park attendants, which in turn resulted in the bathrooms being covered in toilet paper, unclean sinks, dirty toilets, and absolutely zero handsoap for our entire stay. We actually went to the store and bought handsoap to put in the women's restroom. Really unsanitary. The sites are lovely, but the bathrooms were gross.

Beautiful location. Terrible services. Bathrooms were dirty and had no soap. There were signs asking people not to wash dishes at the water spouts, but no camp sink or wash water disposal made available. Interesting that the same park that insisted on masking to prevent disease didn't provide the necessary amenities to prevent disease.

Mora is a lovely wooded campground just a short drive from the AMAZING Rialto beach! Quiet campground. Most campsites are well spaced and provide some privacy.

Nice sites... lots of trees, spaced out well, great flat places to pitch a tent if needed. Bathrooms were kept very clean! Quiet.
