This campground has the best location to the main area of Paradise which was the most important quality for us! There were a lot of downed trees and debris on sites. I’m not sure if this was from a more recent storm or if it’s always like that, but it made the sites feel very small and cramped. The facilities were as expected and I very much appreciated the water bottle filler station. The RV dump station was not in service which was disappointing, but I’m sure the issue will be resolved. If you are camping in an RV, the spaces are tight, so make sure you carefully read the description of the site you choose to ensure your equipment fits.
Overall this campground met our needs and we would come back again!

We had a great time here! We were able to select our own site and then go to the ranger to pay. We had very friendly campers nearby and the bathrooms were very clean.

Excellent campground! There was a large group of kids with some teen or young adult chaperones taking up a lot of the common space including the street. Aside from that, the campground was perfect. The sites are spacious and everything was clean and well-maintained. Will return!

Cougar Rock is always a great place to stay when we go to Mt. Rainier. It is centrally located between Paradise and Longmire so it is very convenient. Don't miss the trail from Cougar Rock down to Longmire and back up - it is a great way to end the day.

Lovely campsite and easy to access from the park entrance. Bathroom facilities were well maintained and it was a perfect place to stop for an overnight to spend some time at Rainier!
