What Guests Are Saying
Lower Falls Campground features spacious, well-maintained campsites with ample shade and beautiful riverside views, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The breathtaking nearby waterfalls and numerous hiking trails enhance the camping experience, although the campground lacks adequate water stations and has issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment, helpful camp hosts, and the opportunity to disconnect from technology in a picturesque setting.

Beautiful campground with large campsites. Very clean sites and they patrol often to make sure people are out when they are supposed to be. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean also despite other reviews I read. Perhaps those visitors had been there during peak months of summer when it’s probably a lot busier. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The falls are stunning. Will definitely be back again.

Rest rooms needed cleaning. Odor was strong… are deodorizers and fly strips available?

The reserve only camping is a real downer. We ended up next to the only generator in the campground and were unable to move sites. This only benefits middle-men like Recreation.gov. We will not return to this campground and will further limit our use of your site.
First come, first serve is fair. Reserve only is exclusive. Shame on you.
The bathrooms were foul. Do better.

The sites were spread out with plenty of woods surrounding them. The falls were beautiful with green stone highlighted through the clear water. Look for the water signs and pump a canteen full. Easily the best water I have ever tasted. Will return most definitely.

Wonderful location. I really enjoy that they do require reservations for the weekends for day use. Makes the area so much less crowded and families could actually enjoy time together without it being so congested. Our camp spot was very clean. Overall just a great spot to camp. We look forward to camping next year.

One of the most magical places we’ve ever been. Great campground, amazing hiking, and mind blowing falls to explore and swim. Super mellow during the week while we were there, can’t wait to go back!

It was super nice. It wasn’t nice that the outhouses were unbearable. Fly’s and huge spiders everywhere. The reeking stench is horrifying. Other than that, it was beautiful! Must go to.
