What Guests Are Saying
Big Pines Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting along the Yakima River, with spacious sites and excellent access for river activities and nearby hiking. Guests appreciate the clean restrooms and the serene environment, ideal for birdwatching and fishing. Big Pines campground was a fun place to stay. We kayaked the Yakima river. After being dropped off higher up on the river, we ended at our campground. It was so convenient. Our kids loved riding their bikes all over the campground as well as playing in the river. We were a big group of friends and it was nice to get our camp sites near each other.

We arrived at the end of a closure due to wildfires near the campground. The camp host, Dallas, shared interesting informtion about the firefighters who had stopped the fires above the railroad tracks across the river from camp. We felt welcomed and watched the camp host keep a close eye on the campgound, cleaning up debris from each camp site on the day of our departure. We enjoyed fishing, river rafting and hiking during our stay.

Upside: Great spot by the river with easy access to the water, and the bridge is right there too.
Downside: there's a SUPER loud train that comes by every few hours. It will definitely wake you up at night.

Seems great for groups, being close to the water, and enjoying the beautiful canyons of Yakima, but not for those looking for an out of the way escape. There isn't much privacy and was a pretty noisy spot even on a Sunday. The facilities were clean and well-maintained.

Fair is being generous. I don't mind the open sites but the tent pads are filled with jagged rock. The real kicker and the reason we didn't stay was that they were pumping the outhouses when we arrived and the stink was
unreal. We left for about 3 of hours, came back and they were still pumping. We went back to Easton and stayed at the state park.
