Been going to Battle Run for over fifty years. Not much improvements in that time.
Bathhouses need to have A/C.
Need boat docks around campsites.
Need drift wood gathered up on the lake.

Nothing special here. Only water hookups. Only 30amp. Bathrooms outdated. Some sites are spitting distance apart. If it wasn’t located on the best lake in WV this campground wouldn’t be that popular

We love the water sites where we can park our son's boat right at the shore. The shorelines though have been greatly harmed by the Corps of Engineers digging out the banks. We've been going here for 40 years. We were there when there was no electric and the little oak trees had just been planted. At that time the ground gradually sloped into the water making it so much more accessible. Now that we are in our 70's the way they have butchered the shorelines makes it so hard to get into the water for those of us with mobility issues. There are places where there is a 3 or 4 foot drop off. The soil which was good is now eroding with more and more of the dirt falling into the water. The area called the Peninsula or Loop F is so much narrower than it used to be. It seems that those who do these things to good camping areas don't know anything about boating or camping. People even had ladders they placed against the shoreline to help them getting in and out of the water. This has been a beautiful place to vacation with our family; please refrain from ruining our access to the water along the shoreline.
