Beautiful park and area. Very disappointed to find out when we get there that NO PETS ARE ALLOWED! That in it self is odd but what ever…. However, NOWHERE in the reservation process does it tell you that NO Pets are allowed. That is such an unusual stipulation for a campground that it should be in Bold letters all over the websites. I was told that after you selected the site and entered all you information there is a button for acknowledgments and somewhere in that attachments it tells you no Pets. I typically don’t read the fine print acknowledgments so ok it might be my fault…… but come on! How about in the section where you enter your camper information like length and hook up info. People pay attention to this. Adding the stipulation of no pets there would be way more helpful than in the acknowledgement after you secured your site and added the payment information . We have 2 dogs under 40 lb and told the Ranger who knocked at our door that we would keep them inside The Motorhome all the time carry them to the car and take them outside the park to walk. I had draped towels in the back windows of the transportation car to hide them from other campers not to cause any upset . However we were told we could not stay. We were over 900 miles from home on a Labor Day weekend with no chance to find another site. Check in is not until 6 pm at this park and the Ranger visit was close to 7 pm. He did end up allowing us to sleep there but out first thing in the am. Very disappointed. The park looked beautiful and is in perfect location. The Ranger was polite and seemed sincere when he said it was the worst part of his job to tell people they have to leave. My suggestion again is to state the policy clearly on the website and to perhaps modify your policy to “pet free loops” instead of the whole park. We did request a refund will have to see what happens.

Restrooms very well cleaned and neat. Employees at gate friendly. Campsite was clean fire pit was full of ashes but later emptied and cleaned. Would like to see more places to ride bikes around campground.

The campground and bath houses are well maintained and generally very clean!
My only concern & we shared with park rangers who were doing a survey is the difficulty in securing a reservation. It has become more difficult over the years. We started coming here yearly 35+ years ago and it remains our favorite place. We make reservations in January to secure our dates for July. Sitting at 10am to click book it and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't is very frustrating when you have a large RV and try to get our favorite spot. That is the only downfall for Battle Run campground. Hope to see you next year hopefully on lot #20! Cathedral Falls must see!

It's really nice but the grass needed cut & one of the showers in the women's bathroom wouldn't adjust to cold water. It was too hot.
