Great Place to camp! Very quiet, clean bathrooms, nice sites, playground and hiking trails are just some things to do. If you tent camp they really have awesome sites. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. The camp hosts are super helpful and nice.

A gorgeous, picturesque campground. Fireflies at night and lush green trees all around you.

We stayed in site 17. You are not really close to anything. Swimming in the lake was closed due to high levels of e-coli! This was an electric only site, 50amps. Sites are generously spaced for privacy, with plenty of foliage in between and shade above. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. There are a couple trails you can hike from within the campground. Shared trails with horses. A little parade came thru on the last day we were there. We camped at Highland Ridge in a Fifth Wheel.

We locked down the whole loop with 5 families and we had a blast! The woods kept us cool during a blistering hot day, there was a beautiful look out of the lake. We appreciated the rangers coming by to quiet people down, which helped a ton on the kid front. Between the wheelbarrow of lumber and foraging for fallen sticks in woods, we were set all weekend. Only draw back was people related - driving truck through the loop full lights @ Midnight, chopping wood @ 630am.
Whole crew plans to come back next year.

Clean campground, quiet hours enforced. Shaded and secluded sites. Hike the trails! Worth the effort!

I would have enjoyed Highland Ridge much more if I hadn't mistakenly booked the reservation for the night before we actually arrived. That being said, when we did arrive, the long time host (6 years she said) checked us in to the site, gave us the vehicle tag and campground map. Later that evening, after we were all settled in she came to the site, asked to see the confirmation and we both realized we were in someone else's site. Fortunately, we were able to get a booondocking site in the equestrian loop. Otherwise, at 8:30 pm on a Friday night, we'd have been in a real jam.
My question is, if I didn't have a reservation (which I didn't), why was I approved to go set up at the campsite?
Please improve your check in system. The host told me she never checks names as multiple campsites are sometimes reserved by one person. I understand that, but simply asking "in whose name is the site reserved?" could have alerted both of us to the problem in time for us to set up elsewhere.
Thank you for your attention to this problem!
