We had a beautiful stay at Shirttail Creek. The reservoir is picturesque, the walk around the outside is lovely and the campground had all the facilities we needed. However, the noise ordinances were clearly posted stating that quiet hours were between 10pm - 6am. These were not followed by all campers and were not enforced by the campground manager. We would recommend going Monday through Thursday to avoid crowds.

This campground is beautiful, well kept and lots of shade. The lake is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for kayaking, paddle Boarding and spending the day by the water.
Site #23 is a great campsite. We had a 32' trailer and it fit well on the site. It was a little difficult to back in since the person in #22 was a bit too far out into the road but if #22 is empty it would be a piece of cake to get in. The site was level enough in the back half of the pad for our trailer to level with blocks. The main campsite area is behind the parking pad and is VERY secluded form all the other campsites. There are several spots to place a tent and my kids had a lot of fun exploring this site.

This campground is beautiful, well kept and lots of shade. The lake is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for kayaking, paddle Boarding and spending the day by the water.
I would not recommend this site for an RV unless it is 20' or less. The driveway is listed at 44' but the first part is VERY sloped and it would be impossible to level an RV on this pad that is any longer than 20'
There is a nice amount of shade and the bathroom and water spigot are close by.

Great campground. Nice camphost. We loved our campsite number 6. A little far to drive from Reno but worth it. Don’t take the road through Colfax to get there. Too narrow and scary. Go through Foresthill.

The Ranger welcomed us warmly just after we pulled up. The site was clean, the facilities were also clean, everything was clean, which I suppose would be expected this early in the season. We were in a Tent and it ended up being a little colder than we expected, but all was well. A bear visited the camp and someone had a bear horn, we could hear them yelling and blowing the horn at about 5:00am, but we didn't see the bear. We loved it and will be back next year!
