If there is no water and there isn’t availability to make a fire why is the site open. Site should remain closed.

The campsites are wonderful minus the abundance of bees. They are out of control. We had 2 kids that got stung during our weekend stay. Just a heads up for anyone that is looking to camp here, it's a beautiful place to camp just keep in mind the bees 🐝

Site 14 does not have a grill on the campfire ring. This is how I cook and all meal plans were made for this. It should definitely state this on the details. We would have starved if my family members hadn't rented a RV

Campsite #17
We had a bad experience. There were so many bees. We were stung several times. The site is close to the vaulted toilet and some people forget to close the lid and the door so we can smell the foul odor.

We ended up leaving same day.
It was likely just not the right day/time of year/or even year in general.
The water level was so low. Three was no “beach” left. Getting into the water was either on sharp rocks or knee deep mud with sharp rocks below that. Probably due to the limited water the wasps were really bad. Our party was stung multiple times. The wasps were bad at the lake in the mud and at the campground. We are used to a couple pestering us while eating, but these were swarming us and the dogs while eating. We chose to cut our losses, let the wasps win and went back home for a stay-cation.
The campground itself was ok, there was lots of wood left by our fire ring, which would have been a plus had we stayed the night. The site #3 was full sun in the heat of the day, another double site would be a better choice. There are 2 others just above #3. There was also a lot of small trash, cigarette butts and bottle caps, etc. in our site.

Well maintained campground and nice camp host. Most sites were very small and in full sun but ours was very shady. Lots of bees and hornets around bathroom and water spigots.
