What Guests Are Saying

Dimond O Campground offers a pleasant stay with well-maintained sites, friendly hosts, and clean bathrooms. Visitors appreciate the beautiful surroundings, privacy between campsites, and proximity to Yosemite National Park. However, some drawbacks include limited water availability, noise from the camp host's generator, and the rustic facilities.

The Camp Manager was very pleasant and informative to talk to and the restrooms were kept in the best shape I've seen in my 40+ plus years of camping @ Dimond O! Kudos to all involved!

Love this place. We come up once a year to get away from the city. Family friendly, Campground host are friendly and keeps the area clean and safe. Nice camping pad with picnic table, and fire pit.

Stayed at Dimond O few times already and very happy about it. Camping is well maintained and clean, close to Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy. Depending on season be prepared for some mosquito.

The campsite is nice and close to the bathroom and water spout. The issue was the miscommunication from the camp hosts. I reserved this site for friday and for the weekend. The site was first come first serve(on recreation.gov) for saturday so I just paid for the site then so there would be no issues. Saturday morning the camp managers came to my site and didn't even say good morning before they started being rude about me paying for the fcfs site. They said I couldn't do that and this isn't a fcfs site (which I even screenshot the days for proof to be prepared for anything) when it fact it was, they were assuming I was going to cause a problem because I didn't reserve it online when I was trying to tell them it was first come first serve online which is why I Only reserved the friday spot even though I planned for the weekend. The lady then went on to tell me I can't reserve anything without checking with her first but the pay station clearly does not state that on the rules fir paying. I found it really weird how we were the only fcfs site they came to and scolded when we did nothing wrong. They ended the interaction with "well luckily for you the site was available anyway" which I already knew because it was fcfs? lol I think camp managers should have a hotspot to have access to recreation.gov to prevent unnecessary conversations like the one I had. I even had a neighbor tell me it was weird how they approached me. Hopefully their communication gets better for future campers but unfortunately it for me it didn't feel good to be scolded for literally nothing because I ended up being right.

We loved that there were enough first come first serve campsites that we could actually get a campsite. Beautiful campground, nice hosts.

Highly recommend!!! The campsite was spacious, clean, and we loved the elevated flat platform to set up our tent on. The campground managers were so kind; they answered all of our questions and gave us some tips that made our day trip to Yosemite perfect! The bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen for a well toilet. Highly highly recommend

Very nice clean campground. No RV water hook-up or dump station but that was to be expected. Bathrooms very clean!
