What Guests Are Saying
Dimond O Campground offers spacious, clean sites nestled among trees, providing a peaceful atmosphere with ample amenities like clean bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many reviews highlight proximity to Yosemite, beautiful scenery, and a nearby creek for recreation. Solid campsite with clean bathroom facilities. Great as a staging ground to go into hetch hetchy (as that road is only open 8am-5pm) early next morning.

I am very disappointed in the reservation system. when I registered for this camp with the exception of my camp all but about 3 were full for my dates and these three were first come first serve. So i ordered my one camp available thinking it would be really full campground. It was only about half full every night. all the camps around me was suppose to be full every night but only about 1 in 3 had a camper in it. I don't mind that the camp was only half full very quite, but very irritating for the angst I had getting a camp when most of the camp bought registration and never showed.
This registration system needs to be adjusted to penalize NO SHOWS. In general i don't like pre-registration but you have to in a place like California but then again it is the system that allows people to pay for camps and no show which affects others actually being there. the same was true in Yosemite where ALL Camps were full everyday but as I would drive through several they were only about 3/4 full at best. The camp hosts are on it here and extremely friendly. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the campground in general. The river is also extremely nice as a little retreat in the warmer months. Definitely quite beautiful. We will be back!

We had a nice spot #14, and although neighbors were close it was private enough for us. The camp hosts were very nice and the vault toilets were clean and well stocked with TP. If you have large tents you’ll need two sites for sure, but otherwise recommended!

Camping at Dimond O was a deeply positive experience! The site was clean, accessible, and well-maintained. The site is close to the west entrance of Yosemite and a deeply forested campsite with great opportunities for stargazing.

Robert the manager was very helpful to us. The bathrooms were very clean. The camp was very quiet. Carlon Falls is a nice place to hike for the day. It takes about 10 minutes to drive there and about 45 minutes to hike in.

Nice clean lil place with legit metal food boxes to keep safe from bears and pre-set spots set your tent without needing to sweep. Also the managers on site are a sweet couple that help.
