Nice and clean campground and close to the town, easy walk there and 10 min drive to the lakes. However, as it is close to town and a main road, you can hear road noise .

Considering how close this campground is to town and the main road, we did have a bear walk through the camp while we were sitting at the campfire, so please put away all your smellables and trash all the time. It just kept on walking by when we spotted it with our headlights, so no issues.

Great campground with beautiful trees and space to breathe between the sites. You might occasionally hear some city and road noise, but the trade off is convenient access to town, and slightly warmer temperatures than the campgrounds up in the lakes basin.
