We could not have been more happy with this campground. Our plans to Montana were cancelled and we booked this last minute without ever being to Mammoth not this site. We chose site #68 and I HIGHLY recommend it. We set our tent up under the tree and it was shaded almost the entire day. While others mentioned not having much privacy, we didn’t feel that was an issue with the site we chose. The creek running through is also walking distance below and it’s nice noise at night; especially for someone who struggles with tent camping and enjoys white noise. We also went on the most beautiful hike to Sherwin Lake which is super close to the campground and made a few trips into town. Bathrooms were very clean, although, I truly wish there were sinks and a mirror but I knew going in that wasn’t accommodated. I can understand why some people are annoyed with the dirt bikes but there are plenty of reviews warning you and we didn’t experience anyone using them after 7pm. We will definitely return to this site and can’t rave enough about it.

I’ve been coming to this campground for several years. With the shady camp sight, creek and proximity to Mammoth Lakes, it has everything need!

A great campground, lots of trees. Great spacing between camp sites. The camp host does a great job keeping things tidy and clean, and is knowledgeable about the area. We look forward to a return visit.

Great place to stay. Clean campsite, bathrooms were some of the better (read:less smelly) campground bathrooms I’ve been to. The campsite was just far enough from Mammoth Lakes to feel secluded, but close enough to enjoy the town! Would definitely come back.

The camp host Dan or Don was amazing. He helped us stay a couple of more days in our sight. The camp ground was nearly empty the whole time we were there. AND for the first time in 2 years, the camp ground didn't get closed on me.

We're rating it poor because as soon as we set up, the camp host came by to tell us we had to leave in the morning because they closed the national forests. The site itself was fabulous and we were crushed that we had to leave.
