Sherwin Creek is a unique campground on the outskirts of Mammoth Lakes and is less popular than other better known campgrounds in the area (Twin Lakes, Lake Mary, etc.). It's a short drive into town, yet located in a beautiful remote forest setting with plenty of space between campsites. We had sites #86 and #87, which were walking distance to Sherwin Creek and close to bathrooms. We didn't know this when we reserved the sites, but there were plenty of folks with 4X4 ATVs and side-by-side UTV in the campground as there are many trails nearby to ride. The general area has many recreational activities available for an extended family vacation, and Sherwin Creek location from which to launch daily activities. We'll be back again this summer!

We have camped at Sherwin Creek many times over the years and because it is such a great experience, we keep coming back. The camp hosts do an excellent job of taking care of the campsites, bathrooms and campers and are very welcoming and professional.

The campground is OK, spread out. We had a great, non-reservable site near a stream. Noticed a few sites with uneven pads and tent areas.

Beautiful shaded campground that feels secluded but is just a short drive to town. Great fishing and hiking. Off roading was a blast

This is the best campground in Mammoth Lakes. It is 10 minutes from Von's. It is warmer than all the lake basin camp sites. The fish in the creek are tasty.
The host's strive to keep the place clean.

Very nice campground! Near the town of Mammoth and a very short walk away from Sherwin Lake Trails, and a short drive away from Devil's Postpile and Minaret Vista points! The camp is well maintained!
