This is always a favorite spot for us. It’s tucked away and secluded but very close to town at the same time.

Sherwin Creek was a very nice campground located in a central area. It was lined with beautiful pine trees. Be sure to use the Bear Box as we saw a couple. Bathrooms needed cleaning. We enjoyed our stay there. It was very peaceful.

Very good campground and host. When I arrived, the host warned me that a bear routinely comes through the campground, and as warned, one came the next day and started to climb into an open door of my car. I was able to scare it away but will keep my car doors closed at all-times in the future. Of course, never leave food out.

Site #023 was nestled in a beautiful location, however very close to #024 ... our family occupied both sites and it worked out perfectly. We did encounter a bit of a wind tunnel as the winds kicked up and had a lovely visit with a young black bear who wandered by. Camp host was not very friendly or helpful ... had no advice or suggestions for area hikes and didn't seem interested in helping out in anyway with any questions. Preferred not to be bothered. We plan to visit again in the future!

Site #020 is a large beautiful site, unfortunately it is right beside the pit toilets and they were overfilled during our visit. The stink was horrible and we move to a different site the following day. What didn't help the situation, was an extremely unhelpful camp host who claimed no responsibility nor offered any helpful suggestions. It was very clear she wasn't happy with her position or responsibilities.
