What Guests Are Saying
Lake Mary Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts. Many visitors enjoyed activities like canoeing and stargazing, and appreciated the presence of flush toilets and paved trails. However, some sites are cramped and bear activity can be a concern, so visitors are advised to secure food properly and consider the site's layout before booking.

Our camp spot was very clean. We were greeted by the camp host, warned about the Bear situation. Unfortunately, the Bear was in our site four times.

These Camp host are terrific hard working and should definitely be returned next year. The campsites are wonderful. The water is subject to going out however. I've been there twice this year and both times it broke (think porta-potties). Forest serviced gets it fixed in 3 or 4 days, be ready. Russ

The location was great and the camp hosts were excellent. The campsites were clean and there are plenty of hikes/lakes in the surrounding area. Cell service was 2 bars with AT&T

Great campground and beautiful lake. It is close to Mammoth yet far enough away to be in the outdoors.
The part that was not great is the water was out for 4 nights. The park put up one portable outhouse for every two flush toilets. The portable outhouses were only cleaned once on day 4 of the water outage. This posed unsanitary and possibly health issues for the hosts who cleaned them and the campers.

Amazing views from site 46! Didn’t interact with the host but I saw them around sort of. My first night between 11pm - 4amish I’m pretty sure I heard a bear(s) trying to get in to the food boxes. Thankfully, I never saw one. Great experience and worth it besides the prevalence of bears.

Great location right next to Lake Mary. We had site 7, which was perfect. Plenty of space to set up two tents, hammocks, chairs, park bikes, etc. Site 7 is conveniently closest to trash cans and bathrooms, but far enough where you are not affected by traffic. Bathrooms (2) are surprisingly clean. I saw the camp hosts maintain them a couple times a day. Only drawback is that there are no showers. No lighting at campground except dim lights in bathrooms at night. We fished and boated by walking from our site and biked from there as well.

This was a great campground! Full of families and campers. Right along the lake. We did have a bear encounter in the morning at the campsite next to us but the hosts were right there to assist and monitor. Would recommend!

campsite (047) was very good size but had to walk up a bit of a small hill, about 15 feet to access site from the car. We had room to set up 4 tens. Toilets were clean. very near the lake!
