We really enjoyed camping under the cypress trees. If you walk up the hill towards the street there is an incredible view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the SF skyline.

The porta potty needed to be changed. A very long walk down and up the hill. If one could use the car to transport items that would be helpful especially for senior citizens. Otherwise, beautiful setting and compground. I could have down without the racoons though (haha).

There is a port-a-potty, but it was very full so I ended up using the vault toilet up near the picnic area up the hill. The campsite was small, so I felt like I could see everything the other campers were doing, but our neighbors were quiet and slept around the same time that we did. I did accidently wake them up when I went to the toilet in the middle of the night, which I felt bad about. There was a man that walked through our campsite with 5+ unleashed large dogs, and the dogs approached us for our lunch food which was unnerving.

We could hear the ocean at night which was nice, and the campsite was charming and beautiful. I enjoyed hiking and the beautiful views. There was a bench we could see from the campsite, so we walked up to it for sunset, which was an extremely beautiful view. There were bulletin boards with historical information on them near the WWII buildings. The campsite and trails were clean. and I could see the golden gate bridge and city from the campsite. There are no bears. I had good cell phone service and even streamed videos over data. Even though I had a couple complaints, I still recommend spending a night or two here.

I recommend bringing your own toilet paper. The vault toilet had lots of TP but the port-a-potty did not have any. Also maybe disinfecting wipes for the port-a-potty seat. I don't think it is cleaned, only emptied.
