We are thankful that we got a place to stay in the park for a night. It’s a wonderful experience, we enjoyed sunset, night skies, star gazing, sunrise, bird sounds, early morning hike around the lake etc.. This unmatched experience of staying inside the park.. can't get it from a hotel stay outside the park and driving in just for the hikes.
The rest of our experience with this site reservation, amenities, service etc. is disappointing...
Location: We stayed in the “Glamping Tent” which is located on the same loop as “Manzanita Lake Camping Cabins”, towards the end of the loop, right next to the last cabin.
Reservation: It was disappointing that there's very minimum information online on reservation page and even nothing in email after reservation. We booked this place just being thankful to find any place in the park, had no clue what to expect for this site. We were thankful that we went prepared!
*No picture of the tent provided
*Missing Map for the site. (How much of a work is it to update the webpage with this information?)
Amenities: The following amenities are not available for Glamping Tent so, be prepared:
• There’s no picnic table, just couple of chairs on the platform next to tent.
• No grill/campfire ring.
• There’s one small night stand next to bed but no other storage shelf or table.
• No propane heating
Glamping Tent is $149. We felt it is Overpriced for that basic tent giving a false impression that it is a better one compared to one room cabin that's right next to this site for $76 and came with all the above listed amenities.
The Campground store closed at 5:00PM (timings for this season) and opened 9:00AM next day.
Lights in the restroom didn't work.
Showers are not coin operated (misinformation on reservations page). Shower room needs a code to enter and there was no one to provide the code after the store closed.

Our experience in staying one night in the cabin was not good. Cabin itself was solid and substantial. NO electricity, although it appeared to once have electric heater and outlets on walls. The big drawback was NO BATHROOM toilet or water. It is difficult for old folks to get up in the middle of the night and walk all the way to the restroom and make it in time. This was a cabin for disabled people too!
The restrooms were run down, no lights. But they were flush toilets and there were 3 cold water sinks. Paying over a $100 per night is crazy for this kind of accomodation.

Didn't realize the cabins were not reserved via recreation.gov like the campsites are. The entire national park was closed because of a wildfire, and the contracted company would not cancel our reservation. We could not cancel it, but could not even enter the park to utilize it.

The cabin is clean and nice. It’s very close to the lake. The lake is great! We enjoyed the kayaking and hiking around the lake. The only downside was the showers were down during our visit.

Great little cabin that was walking distance to Manzanita Lake. Small store sold basics, firewood, and gas. Very nice campground overall!

The cabins are very nice. However, the campground is run down, needing repairs and general maintenance. No propane heat in cabin - heater would not turn on. No lights in bathroom, bathrooms were very dirty, showers out of service, no water supply for dish washing sink, the tire air inflator at gas station was broken. Campground guests were bathing and washing their bodies at the water spigots.

Lovely bare bones, clean cabin, but bring your own lantern. No outdoor sink at the restroom but good pump for water supply. Nice location for accessing the lake and Manzanita Creek Trail which we did hike. Saw a meadow of Lupines near the top and wonderful refreshing stream.

When we arrived at our cabin, the carbon monoxide detector was beeping. We immediately opened the windows and went to the store. The employee came to help and found the heater was running. They were able to make the detector stop beeping by turning off the gas at the valve. It was very scary for our family. We left the windows open and were finally able to enter the cabin comfortably about 9-10pm at night with windows open.

Location and cabins are excellent including the shower and toilet areas. The store and staff are over the top!! Very helpful and friendly. The 8 bunk cabins with only 1 window were very hot in the 2 of 4 nights we stayed. The mattresses were comfortable.
