What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Campsite was beautiful and the location in-between King's Canyon and Sequoia was very convenient. Our campsite had a lot of space which made setting everything up very easy. We also loved that they had bear boxes at each campsite, which is a lot easier than having to set up our hanging bag on a tree. Would love to come back here again soon!

This was a beautiful campsite and was so quiet at night! The only thing I wished was that there were a few more restrooms - it was a pretty good walk to get to them from some loops. But a beautiful place that I definitely will stay at again! And I really liked staying in Kings Canyon as it was less crowded than Sequoia. I recommend stopping for a swim at Hume Lake on the way out to the Canyon.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. No showers but the bathrooms have always been really neat and clean. Some of the cleanest I've seen. The rangers are friendly. The camp store is within walking distance as are several trail heads. On this one occasion we had a rather large and loud family (tons of kids it seemed) but this was an outlier for us.

On our tour camping through some National Parks, our time at Azalea Campground was our favorite! Site 60 is the absolute best camping spot! No close neighbors, bouldering, hiking trails from the campground…beautiful! Highly recommend.

Very beautiful campground. Lot of space for every RV. It’s so quiet in the morning. You hear singing birds. Check in was really simple. Only a look at the board and you can go to your place. If you have no toilet in your RV, look for a place near the restrooms, so you don’t have to walk to far. We had everything in our rv, so it didn’t matter. Great campground. Close to general tree. (Not the Sherman)

Loved the campground, rating 4 stars for a couple minor points. This campsite has a shared parking lot with the neighboring campsite and I don’t think that’s super obvious to everyone, could do with better signage or advertising. The lot is also a little slanted, including the spot you’d pitch your tent, but by the second night we didn’t notice the slanting. Of all the campsites in Azalea, this one is a little further from the bathrooms BUT it probably is one of the best sites for stargazing since you’re mostly in a clearing. Loved our weekend here!!! Rangers were friendly and helpful, the general store is super close by, and we liked being able to walk 10 minutes to the grove so we could enjoy it outside the busy hours.

An excellent campground centrally located near several hiking trails and Grant Grove Village. Site 24 was spacious and semi-private for our Revel van.
