What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

Very nice, clean site. Quiet campground with sufficient space in between the camp sites. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Grant Cove was a walking distance away while General Sherman tree was a 45 minute drive.
Very nice stay!

The site was very nice and spacious. We had no problem setting up multiple tents. The rangers and campground hosts on site were very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the amenities and the showers within the campground were very nice. Only downfall was that there was not great accommodations for dishwashing, but obviously that’s common with camping.

We had a great site at space 99, level, great view backing up to meadow, water between sites and bathrooms very clean and nearby. Great to have water and sink right outside bathroom. Some confusing information about water on ground but volunteer park staff cleared up great. Walking trails close by, getting to visitor center, store and facilities at Grant Grove very close. Unfortunately staff at gift shop, store unfriendly, gave incorrect information about what was available at other stores, related facilities that weren't park staff related. All NP staff were very helpful.

We had a very nice quiet site away from the front which had sites close together. But the bathroom was a far, far ways away - especially after spending our day hiking. Would suggest placing a couple port-a-pots with hand washing stations in areas that are a distance from regular bathrooms.
