What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

We had a pleasant stay at the campground. There are just two small issues we had. At first, our neighbors generator was running nearly the whole time (when it was allowed) which was quite annoying and the aecond point, the way to the restroom was quite long. But beside of that, it was great!

Nice location.
Close to restroom and big tree is next to it. A bit tight site for pitching 4person tent

No showers or dump so prepare accordingly if you are rving. Beautiful location and central to both parts of the park.

Wayne and Judy were awesome! Firm but fair and actually cared what was going on at the campground. Very clean and quiet. Interesting campground because there were several spectacular camp spots, and some that I would never want to camp in campsites. The whole gamut. I always wonder why they don’t even try to level the actual trailer parking spots before they pave them…

Judy Morgan, Azalea’s camp host, helped us out! We made 3 different reservations for 3 different sites since a single site wasn’t available for our 3 night stay. Judy offered an “admin” site so we wouldn’t have to pack and move. We were so appreciative of her hospitality.

Nice campground overall but our original spot (65) was horribly unlevel -- unsuitable for a MH, we were 2' lower at the front driver and 3' lower at the front passenger than the rear (had to park front in since we didn't want to jack up our rear wheels, which have the parking brake). We managed to switch spots after 1 night to 107. Not flat but much better.
