What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting, ideally located near Grant Grove and various hiking trails, including those to the General Sherman Tree. The campground is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms, fresh water, and friendly park staff, contributing to a peaceful and relaxing experience. While some sites may be uneven and restrooms are a bit distant for some, the overall atmosphere, wildlife sightings, and access to nature make it a memorable destination.

I really like how spread out the campsites are from eachother. We camped in a camper van at site 45 and unfortunately the parking spot wasn’t very level. Site 45 was also far from the bathroom and there weren’t any showers at Azalea campground. All in all it was very peaceful and quiet.

If you are tent camping, this 60 is definitely the best in the entire campground, with a large independent space and the entire forest backyard! ! But it is not suitable for RV/trailer/car camping because the parking space is very small and at the corner of the road. If you plan to sleep in the car, it is not a good idea.

Things you can control: Good Campsite, clean bathrooms, trash picked up frequently, rangers checking frequently.
Things you cannot control: way too many barking dogs, large family group with 8 children allowed to run thru camp sites, screaming constantly, totally uncontrolled. Fortunately they came on our last day there, or we would have gone home early.
