Some really nice secluded spots for camping. Some spots are too close together for privacy. This campground didn't have a check in and we did not see camp hosts or rangers. So it seemed people could get by without following rules.

Site was very nice and large. It was not level though. There were deer visiting our campsite, which was great! We did love the place!

This is a super beautiful campground. One of the most tranquil as well. Site was good location however it seemed like the site behind was very built up to our site. Also, we parked our RV here, and it was beyond something we could even get close to leveling.
If you don't need to level an RV or trailer, I think this site would be a great tent spot.

Had site 19 the first night. Was horrible. So many ants and foxtail plants. I had a dog so he could not really move around or sniff. No shade 90% of the day. Was so hot could not relax at camp. Next 3 nights were site 12. More shade but site was on hillside type and table firepit on different levels away from each other. Overall it is a small family campground

Great, quiet campground. Site #8 may be the most private of the entire campground, and it's right next to a small meadow. The only downside is that the bathroom is a 2-3 minute walk away.

Tire Chains may be required at any time. Be prepared at any time of year for a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. Check Road Conditions at nps.gov/seki. Vehicles longer than 22 feet (including trailers) are not advised between Potwisha Campground and the Giant Forest Museum. Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible. Falling Objects- Don't linger under dead, cracked, or broken branches. Run if you hear cracks or snapping from tree roots, trunks, or branches (know that sometimes there is no sound, and very little time to react). Report falling branches or trees to a ranger. A California state fishing license is required to fish in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and Sequoia National Forest lakes and streams. Fishing licenses may be available at National Park and National Forest markets. |
