Love this site!!! Private enough. Site has great shade at different times of the day. Fire pit has no grill, has an open ring only. No cooking or warming up anything on it. Bathroom closest to the site are the ones where the shuttles stop by, so the restrooms are not too clean. I suggest taking wipes to clean seats and toss in the trash can. Overall the site is worth the stay! River is close and trails as well.

Loved this campground! Surrounded by tall trees and along a creek. It was beautiful. There were a LOT of sites, that seemed packed in. Everywhere you looked there were tents. Somehow it was quiet and peaceful though. Having the shop and showers was very nice.
My only complaint was about the showers. In the women's, there were only 2 working showers. I was told by other campers that they are maintained and ran by contractors and you could tell they didn't care.

The location is central to everything and the free shuttle to these places was very convenient. The bathrooms and especially showers were not maintained to a minimum standard.

Quite nice temperature in July. We were able to fit two sedan cars in our parking space. There is a sink next to the bathrooms which could be used for washing, which is nice.

This campground was super neat! Lodgepole has a waterfall in it which is nice to go swimming during the day. The amenities were as described and it is a lively campground giving it a super summer feel. Family appropriate, a lot of BBQing. Bear boxes for every campsite which was super convenient for food storage. The tent site is marked and the fire pit area is elevated and off to the side which is a perk. It's away from the other adjoining campsites and gives the user their own space. Bathrooms were conveniently close by, but not too close. I would use this spot again. It was also super convenient to get to General Sherman and do the Congress/Trail of Sequoias in the morning.

Everything was great, within walking distance. Shuttles come super early if you wanna hit the trails! Only thing i absolutely hated was the bathrooms and the showers, both were so disgusting, I don’t know how they’re not cleaned DAILY.

Site 41 was about 150-200 ft of walking in. A cart would be ideal and helpful, but it’s just a few round trips of getting your gear there. Overall was such an incredible experience, beautiful view and quiet. The river was full and we dunked ourselves in after a day of hiking to refresh ourselves. It was lovely and must in my opinion! The campsite was connected to the Tokapah Falls hike and that was a nice treat, and having access to the shuttles was super ideal and helpful. Certainly planning on coming back to this campground!

My site was lovely and somewhat secluded site (though perhaps this was because no one was around). I had what I needed and it was beautiful time.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
