Booked this spot since it was near a restroom. Arrived at the location and noticed the restroom is under maintenance. This spot is near a water spigot.

This is my second time camping at Lodgepole Campground within the last six months (April & August 2024). It's my favorite campground at Sequoia- the proximity to the Giant Forest, General Sherman and the Kaweah River make this campground special. We were lucky enough to see a bear/cub from a distance and were even surprised when two Mule deer decided to sneak up on our site one afternoon. Ranger Ashton gave a wonderful presentation at the amphitheater on species of squirrels in the park. My only complaint would be the amount of litter and trash left behind by other visitors- much worse this time around. Pack it in, pack it out!

The campground was very nice and private with a spectacular view, well located near the bathroom and not far from the Market (5 minutes walk) which has almost anything you need like paid showers, laundry, and supplies.
The mobile data cover with Telcel (4G) was excellent.

Good campground overall. Sound of the stream right below the site was lovely, and very quick access to swimming pools. Decent service with Verizon. Bathrooms can be a bit far from the campsites, and showers were a very long walk away. Campground rangers were very aggressive with rules enforcement across all sites, which many times felt over the top.

Campground is quite nice, although the sites vary widely in terms of privacy, shade, and quiet. The National Park Service bathrooms in the campground are acceptable and are cleaned regularly. However the showers in the Lodgepole Market Center are beyond disgusting and an embarrassment. Never cleaned - I honestly don't know how the concessionaire is allowed to maintain their contract.

washroom was clean enough. light was not working. everyone was bringing their own light but fixing it may help. shop was very helpful to improve our camping experience, especially since we did not bring cooler box. we could buy fresh salad kit and some meat. I thank staff for maintaining the quality of the campsite.

Great campground. The park rangers do an excellent job keeping everything safe. Good space for each camper, beautiful views. My only complaint would be the restroom floors which were filthy, but otherwise it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend it.

Lodgepole Campground was located in a very beautiful spot. At around 6000 feet, the nature is more green and the air is cooler which is enjoyable especially in the summer. I have stayed at a campground that was near the entrance and it doesn’t compare to this one. I liked that it was next to the river and the noise was pleasing. I would like to point out that some camp sites had more room for a tent and generally moving around than others. Site 115 didn’t have as much room and seemed smaller compared to others. Bathrooms were relatively close and clean as well as stocked on supplies. There were also water fountains to wash or get water, not for drinking though. The starting point to hike to the waterfall was also close which was a bonus. Will definitely come back to this campground.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
