Very nice campground with lots of amenities including a store and small restaurant. Very family oriented.

Although we love camping at Lodgepole, our favorite sites, 143 & 144, were negatively impacted by several felled trees at the edge of the site that inhibited the river view, which we enjoyed so much in the past.
Also, the bathrooms could use a few hooks so people don't have to put their toiletries on the floor.
In addition, on our last night, we visited the Lodgepole store to get last minute souvenirs. The cafe was closed, and the staff member cleaning it was blasting music very loudly. Another staff member in the store was blasting their own music. The cacophony was extremely uncomfortable for us, so we didn't stay very long, and quickly bought only a few items.
Finally, kudos to the shuttle system. We had a wonderful walk down the Sherman Tree trail, then around the Congress Trail, but we very happy to take the shuttle bus back the the Sherman Tree parking lot. However, we wish an abbreviated shuttle would run longer. Closing after Labor Day is too soon. The weather is great until late into October, so it would be nice to utilize the shuttle during the Fall as well.

First time camping was here and no complaints! It’s a busy campsite that doesn’t provide as much privacy and isolation as some others, but it’s unparalleled in location and access to amenities (showers, food, supplies, etc.).

Dirtiest bathrooms I’ve seen at a national park campsite. No trash can in the bathroom to throw away wipes, which encourages people to flush them which of course clogs the toilet. Floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in weeks. Sink was gross. It’s over $30 for a non-electric tent site here and I expect some cleanliness. The location itself is good for exploring the park but I was disappointed in the facility.

i was in site 188 located right next to the restrooms and didn’t like how all the other campers decided to use our site as a shortcut and they would just walk right through our campsite and all our belongings just to get to the restroom. It was really annoying and hard to sleep with all the campers just walking through our campsite all night.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
