It's Yosemite. Of course it's great. Spot does get a lot of mid-day sun, so if tent camping bring a shade canopy.

We loved camping at North Pines! Campsites are close together but it’s a popular destination so that’s expected. Our campsite was very shaded and just across the street from the river. When we were there the river was pretty low and mellow but very inviting. We visited the end of August 2024 and temperatures were hot during the day and comfortable/cool at night. There’s a 5-10pm fire curfew so we ended up buying a butane stove at the Curry Village Mountain shop to cook breakfasts on. The bathrooms were well maintained and had flushable toilets and running water but there was no soap so be sure to bring your own! There was a drinking water refill station and a camping sink water/gray water dumping station which were both very convenient. Food and any scented toiletries have to be kept in bear boxes at each campsite at all times and we saw park rangers checking campsites and giving warnings to campers not taking this seriously. There is also a shuttle stop just outside the campground that makes it super easy to get around Yosemite Valley. 10/10 recommendation North Pines and we can’t wait to come back!

Nice view on mountains. Campsite was close to other campsites. Not much privacy.

There is simply NOTHING like floating down the Merced River in 90° heat under half dome. Outstanding vacation. 10/10!!

Very clean despite the amount of campers on site. Not far from from anything at all. Bring a bike, because the ride is better than the shuttles in that you can stop and look at the beauty. Bear lockers were more than adequate in size.

The camp site 308 should not be a campsite. There was no where to pitch a tent. There was no room for any thing. The parking space was substandard , no way 2 cars could have parked there and we needed to prune the berry bush to open our door. We are grateful our family could not join us, because there was no room for us to camp, let alone any one else. We slept in our van---due to the lack of space. It was packed in like sardines. We left early when our neighbors set up a port a potty tent right by our cooking table and played music constantly. It was too tight of a campsite.
This campsite should not be used as an individual campsite. We were extremely disappointed. Better spacing is much needed.

No surprises, clean campsite and campground, knowledgeable and friend NPS employee at the check-in shack. The lottery process was successful for us at this campground, we'll be back next year!
