What Guests Are Saying
Chapman Campground is praised for its stunning natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it a top choice for campers. Many reviews highlight the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the peaceful atmosphere, with opportunities for wildlife viewing and outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, some guests noted limited parking near the reservoir and challenges finding flat tent sites, particularly for larger tents.

Our site, #26, was not perfect for car camping. The parking area was pretty far from the fire pit and table, so we had to carry a lot of stuff back and forth often. I bet that site would be PERFECT for tent camping, though! It was beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay very much. This was our second year to spend the week following the 4th of July at the campground. The facilities were outstanding and the camp hosts were as well. .

We had a great experience at Chapman! Our site was nice and the hosts were great. We kept our food packed up and didn’t have any problems with bears. This is one of the most beautiful places and we go there every year.

Other than the recent closure of the Day-Use Parking Lot (turned into the worst camping sites ever) the place was great this year. Loads of Bears in the area though. Fox, Deer< marmots, Squirrels, Munks, Weasel and great fishing.
