Chapman is a great campground, especially, but not exclusively, for families. The reservoir is close and great fun for SUPs and fishing and hanging. The nature trail is a fairly easy walk too. Bathrooms were clean.

No water, electricity or cell…GLORIOUS. It was 43-degrees in our Airstream each morning but freezing outside. Our loop was quiet. We did use our generator twice each day but our batteries were also charged by solar. I’m glad I brought a large “carpet” to put outside the front door as the dogs would have been muddier otherwise. The trees were almost leafed out. The setting was near a river and you could easily walk the river path. I would like to know about the hosts-looking plants that were plentiful! I would go back, especially at a warmer time of year.

Wonderful views and location. Wasn’t upset with the number of people that were there. The water well pressure was lower than I hoped and a little dirtier than I expected, but was running whenever I needed it and was drinkable. We will come back to enjoy Chapman!

Don’t come this place is too full and you wont like it. Plus it is my favorite spot and I want to make sure I can get a site.
