Beautiful area and campground! We loved the spaced out sites, privacy and quiet campground.
We were in a double site and had a couple issues with that - the water and electric hook-ups are in the back corner so we were only able to hook up one camper to water since the water hose we had was not long enough to reach where we had to park the second trailer.
Another issue we encountered was the electric hook up. One of the outlets was not working so we could only plug one trailer into electric. We discussed with the host Friday night, they said the maintenance guy could look at it tomorrow (Saturday). On Saturday afternoon the maintenance guy told us they had to replace something which wouldn't happen until Tuesday. Kind of frustrating when paying for a double site with double hook-ups that we couldn't use.

The red rocks are rockin'! The vegetation is diverse. Redstone town is a repurposed dream, with ice cream. The Crystal River canyon, being northerly to southerly, is a country for late sleepers. Birds love the brush; in early June the hummingbird influence was immense, with trills everywhere! The Crystal River was running hard, and the rapids had big power. Citizens sighted a small black bear in the oak brush between campground and the town. The walk-to-town is so inspiring, even an old grumpy man can do it. Well, there were three generations together for the hike, so anyone can do it. On the plus side, we had a large honey-colored bear come through our camp. (We were inside at the time.) The bear was just ambling along. Also, the water at the Redstone campground was good water. On the Downsides, there are apparently no sewer dump facilities available to the general public for any nearby location within range of Carbondale et al. We dumped at Edwards. Also, no cell service near the campground. Our best luck was at Carbondale.

Beautiful, clean and peaceful campground with the quaint town of Redstone just down the road. Pretty expensive, but you can see where the money goes as it is of the highest quality amenities. Would definitely recommend going here. We were at spot 13 which was very flat, close to facilities and had water/electric hookups. Amazing view of the rock outcroppings and very quiet.
