Small but beautiful campground. Manitou lake is just across the highway, and has nice hiking trails and non-powered boating on the lake. Free to get in with your Painted Rocks camping fee...

Great camping spot. The kids loved climbing the giant red rocks. Spent the day at nearby Manitou Lake on our paddle boards (2 minute drive!). Campsites are well spaced out, plenty of trees for shade at sites 7 & 8. Only bummer is no fires allowed due to burn ban.

Really nice spot tucked in between roads. Some periodic side road traffic, but it was limited. Easy biking access to Manitou Lake and the other campgrounds for an easy ride. It should be walkable to the lake, but we didn't try that. Very nice first foray with a new camping setup.

Great little campground! It was like camping used to be back in the 70's - small, you know all the "neighbors", kids feel safe to play... Jerry, the campground host, is an added bonus to an already perfect location. He's keeping everything spotless and is fun to talk to - maybe you'll even share a beverage and get to listen to his stories. You're close to Woodland Park (in case you forgot something). Some sites have sun, some shade - there's something for everyone. Enjoy!

Smaller, quiet campground. Nice space between sites. Great place for kids. Beautiful area. Manitou Lake is just a skip away and gorgeous. They were out of firewood, so it was nice Woodland Park is close to go purchase some.
