What an excellent, traditional campground, so quaint and quiet. Clean restrooms, spacious sites and a friendly campground host. All campers receive a free pass to Manitou Lake which was a great place to picnic and spend the day with the dogs. Site 15, the only pull-through, provides privacy, shade and a panoramic view. Consider Painted Rocks Campground for your next camping experience.

Very nice little park. Easy walk to the lake. 32 ft 5th wheel had problems getting out of the camp due to low branches and large ditches along the road. Host was very helpful getting me out without too much damage.

The campground, including the pit toilets, were very well maintained. The camp host was wonderful! Can't wait to go back again next Summer.

Out of five campsites I visited this summer, this one was the best. Great location. Just a few minutes from town where there are some great restaurants. The campground itself is beautiful, with random rock formations contributing to the stunning landscape. Campsites are spaced apart nicely. The sites around me were occupied but far enough away that I couldn't hear any noise or chatter. Everything was super clean, especially the restrooms. Host was incredibly friendly. If this ends up being my last camp of the season, I can say that I went out on a great note.

Wonderful camp host, clean bathrooms, good location. Camp spots do have some ruts and uneven ground. Very quiet

From the I-25 and Highway 24 intersection in Colorado Springs, Colorado, travel west on Highway 24 for about 18 mi to the junction with Highway 67 in Woodland Park. Turn right (north) on Highway 67 and drive about 7 mi to Painted Rocks Road and turn left (west). Take the gravel road about 1/2 mi to campground entrance on the left.
Highway access
The campground is accessible from Highway 24, which connects to I-25 in Colorado Springs, approximately 18 miles to the east. From Highway 24, travelers can take Highway 67 north for about 7 miles to reach Painted Rocks Road.
