Quiet. Almost full, yet calm, peaceful. Host was available and responsive. Outhouses adequate. Beautiful surroundings. Close to town for something to do if it rains! I would return.
PS the table at site 2 was sunk into the ground. Weird. 😉

good parking, tent sites good except needed more clear space as vegetation touching tent. Generally flat unlike some campgrounds. Good access to bathrooms, scenic rocks Very friendly host who kept bathrooms very clean.

Loved it first time camping for the kids. Had the lake right around the corner, great camp ground with a super nice camp ground host.

The campground was nice and small with ample space between sites. Trees at most sites gave good shade from the mid-day sun. The rocks were nice to see, along with the other activities in the immediate area.

Painted Rocks Campground which lies a few miles North of Woodland Park, CO was 2 nights of enjoyment. The site was clean with nearby access to a toilet and clean water. Our host (Jerry) was very friendly and suggestive of area ideas. Though timber in the area, I wish there could have been a few more trees. All in all, we and our 7 year old granddaughter loved the experience.
