The camground is very spacious. The sites for the most part are far enough apart. It was great to be able to star watch. It was also cool to hear the cows mooing in the morning. Who needs a Alarm clock..lol

Sites 60 and 61 are close to the road and cars are audible, not obnoxious, but present. This doesn’t seem to be the case near the back of the site

This campground is fine if you aren't expecting some conveniences. There are restrooms scattered about but we have a pull-behind camper so we did not use them. A few of them had quite an odor coming from them as well, another reason to use our own restroom. There is no electricity or hook up water but we knew that when making the reservations. The site are dirt/gravel which means they were not perfectly level which is fine if you have leveling blocks or other options. It was quiet mostly shady so we just relaxed and enjoyed the outdoors.

This was an excellent campground with lots of space for each site. The camp host was extremely helpful. Cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen at a CO campground. It’s a bit bigger than others which was great for the kids riding around on bikes. Lots to do nearby.

South Meadows was a wonderfully kept campground. Just what we needed for a little weekend stay. Vault toilets are well maintained. Cell service was extremely limited on campgrounds but is accessible about a mile down the road.

The campground can be accessed via Highway 24, approximately 18 miles from the I-25 interchange in Colorado Springs. From Highway 24, turn onto Highway 67 for an additional 5.5 miles to reach South Meadows Campground.
