The campground was well maintained and the camp host clearly cared about his role. The location of the campground is great for nearby attractions such as a visit to Manitou Springs, or Woodland Park. We did both. This is a beautiful area and we would stay again.

Larger-than-expected campsite. Fabulous campground host. Plenty of shade, and good seclusion. Fire ring was reasonably well-maintained with cooking grate. My only complaint is that it did not have graded tent sites, and while the ground was mostly level, there was no completely flat locations. Otherwise, I would definitely go back.

The camp host was very helpful. The sites and restrooms were very clean. The location is good but maybe a little close to the main road.

The campground can be accessed via Highway 24, approximately 18 miles from the I-25 interchange in Colorado Springs. From Highway 24, turn onto Highway 67 for an additional 5.5 miles to reach South Meadows Campground.
