Super nice host. Cleanest and freshest vault toilet I've ever seen. Grounds were in excellent shape. Plenty of trees and shade which was great to beat the sun. The surrounding area is drop dead beautiful!

First of all, before you read this review, you must understand that I did not stay at the 30 Mile Campground. I was staying at the River Hill Campground 3 miles to the East so I rode my motorcycle up to 30 Mile to make sure my Class A Winnebago could traverse the campground and fit into the small campsites. After riding around the narrow campsite roads and examining the campsites where I was going to stay, I determined this campground was "too narrow" for a Class A RV with a trailer. It's a beautiful site for smaller Class B and C RVs and 5th wheels but questionable for Class A RVs especially pulling a car or trailer.

Since Parks management Company took over most of the Rio Grande NF campgrounds all rates have increased. This campground is probably worth the new rate. It is well managed, sites are clean and mowed, toilets are well stocked and maintained, and water is available throughout the camp. This cannot be said for others in the system. Some say they have water but do not. Others are so overgrown that sites can only be distinguished by the table floating above the grasses. 30 Mile also has the best access to fantastic trails.
