The campground was well managed and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is in a less crowded area of the park, which was a welcome respite.

This campsite is great! We were surprised to not see animals within the campground while we were there, but saw a lot of animals on the west side of the park! We did a few short hikes on the west side since our stay was short and we were not acclimated to the altitude. The road through the park is well worth it and both towns outside of the park are nice!

Very clean campground. Bathrooms were convenient and very clean. Only a few sites have any privacy. The site we managed to get was not at all private and very close to other sites. The view of the mountains was completely worth it though. We also did not have a bear box anywhere near our site.

Beautiful spot and the rangers we had were very nice. I would recommend talking to them when you arrive because they will tell you where all the best hikes are and information about Grand Lake/Estes Park. This campsite is super close to Grand Lake, and I would definitely not miss it if you go here :) It's amazing!!!!

We enjoyed the privacy of our site (a hike in site at the edge of the campground). There were some beautiful views (especially in the mornings) and listening to the elk was really cool.
Dislikes: proximity to the road, bathroom stalls didn't lock, didn't appear to be anyone working on our first night there, firewood is expensive and does not burn well

Beautiful time to be in the valley, at the cusp of fall, lots of Elk rutting, clean blue skies and starry nights, crip evenings. Campsite was nice and the pines are really starting to grow back and create some privacy.

The campground is great. The negative is the fact that the administration chooses to close it earlier than posted.

The campground was extremely clean and well kept! I was happy that the bathrooms were flush toilets and had an electric outlet and not smelly at all. The site was level and smooth to sleep on in a tent. It was nice not to fight the crowds on the other side of the park.

The campground was very nice . The restrooms had running water & were very clean . The site provided bear boxes for food storage. Several trails were in close proximity. The views are phenomenal.

We had a great trip. The campground itself had not suffered severely in the most recent fire, and we enjoyed the elk, moose and hiking. We also enjoyed Grand Lake. It was a nice little vacation.
