Timber Creek Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park offers a beautiful, quiet setting with abundant wildlife, including elk and moose. The campground features clean facilities, friendly staff, and a good location for accessing trails and nearby Grand Lake. Nice camping sites. Many new trees are now at a nice height for privacy. Hoping to see the resident moose, but were only there one night. Amazing star and meteor show! Will stay longer next time.

Beautiful campground and views with a bonus of a friendly moose and her twins visiting each day. :) Nice, clean bathroom facility (no shower). It would be nice to be able to purchase ice somewhere nearby...

I would have given it two stars, but Moraine Campground, on the other side of the park, was so much worse, this one was three-star in comparison.
Good: garbage cans were available easily. Bathroom had a sink outside it for hand-washing and for dish-water/dish washing, per their request (moraine made the request, but had no sinks available to wash in!), ranger that checked us in was really friendly.
Bad: Bathroom is an outhouse with a BROKEN light. C'mon, for $30 a night, I think you could fix a broken light! (if electricty is an issue, they make solar lights for less than $50 these days!)
Half the camp was empty, despite the sign saying it was full. Lots of wasted available spaces for people who probably would have loved to stay there, had they known. The reservations system obviously is not working, and the space is not utilized well as a result.
Not every site has it's own bear box for food storage. Since the campground was not full, this wasn't an issue, but were it utilized better, you'd have other people going in to where your food is stored. Lets just hope their kids don't help themselves to your granola bars!

Highly recommend getting one of the walk-to sites since it looked like a lot of the drive-up sites were super close to each other. Either way, insane views and very clean/well maintained campground and would totally come back.
