Cleanest restrooms I have seen in a while. The campsite was freshly raked and free of debris. It was like I was the first to set up there!

It was not a great campground. 1st, you have to pay an additional vehicle pass to access the area, that is not detailed on the listing. Some areas waive the day use fees if you pay for camping, but that was not the case here. 2nd, the campsites are very close together, so there is little to no privacy. There are also too many campsites crammed into the loop, so it is one of the noisiest campground I've stayed at. We could clearly hear people blasting their music and partying well beyond the quiet hours across the campgrounds and we could clearly hear our neighbors despite their volume being at standard conversation level. 3rd, The bathrooms were the smelliest of anywhere I've camped in the past decade. The proximity of many of the campsites is within 50 feet of the bathroom and everyone around us complained about the smell. It would be better to close some of these camp sites. Beware if your campsite because if you down wind, it is downright unpleasant. Finally, one of the hosts/managers was incredibly rude as we were leaving. I spoke to another host earlier in the morning to ask if I could leave my camper parked in our spot for an hour after check out since there did not appear to be parking for trailers and larger vehicles around the area. He said it was fine since no one else was coming into the campsite. As I was pulling out, a different host came by to inform me that checkout was at 12 and I needed to leave because others might want to access the site. That demonstrates a lack of communication between the employees and is unnecessary when 85% of the campsites are unoccupied. I wish he had that same attitude towards people who were clearly violating quiet hours with guitar playing, singing, and loud music, I might have been less irritated with his poor tone. I would not return to this or any other site in the area. I'd rather not support poorly run concessionaires.

This campground is very pretty with lots of trees. The bathrooms were super clean and non-smelly, the cleanest I've seen in a campground! Our site was clean and freshly raked when we arrived. The dirt road in is a bit "wash boardy" but well worth it once you arrive. Jefferson Lake is about 3 miles from campground. If biking be prepared it is a steep climb to the lake. A must see and do, it is gorgeous, quiet ( no motors allowed ) and you can hike all the way around it.
You can hike from campground around too, lots of beautiful beaver ponds, the whole area is really nice. I would for sure go back here.
