What Guests Are Saying
Round Mountain offers spacious RV sites, clean facilities, and a highly praised camp host, Keith, who ensures a well-maintained environment. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful, tree-surrounded location and the privacy of the campsites, with easy access to nearby trails and lakes. While there are some concerns about noise from nearby ATVs and the proximity of campsites, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

This campground is perfect for a quick get-a-way from Colorado Springs. Quiet campground with a few amenities that make camping a bit easier. The host was incredibly friendly and the grounds were in great condition. This is my group's third year camping here in the fall with beautiful golden aspen leaves and easy hikes nearby.

A little close to the highway, can hear cars driving by- but a good location between mile eleven canyon and reservoirs, and the fossil monument. Camp site was large and spacious with tree cover

I love round mountain, my hubs and I go at least 2 times a year. We went last weekend and I would have given it more stars but the new camp hosts had a white pitbull that they let loose and it is NOT a friendly dog. It is a dog you keep on a leash with the owner at ALL times. It ran loose and came onto our camp spot and was super aggressive and acted like he was going to bite one of us. We were pretty nervous.. This is not a good way to host anyone. Please keep your dog leashed and by your side if it is not friendly with others.. The new hosts’ camp area looked awful and trashy..I’m nervous for this campgrounds future..
It was a great weekend besides that..We hope Keith comes back soon! We really miss him!!

Our campsite was very nice. Shaded. Good, level spots to put up tents. The bathrooms (vaults) were very clean, smell was fine. Camp host Mel was awesome! Very helpful in all matters (water, firewood, and even jump started our vehicle). Really beautiful surrounding areas. 11 mile canyon is gorgeous, and the Platte River Trail hike is rewarding as long as you go the full distance.
