Our campsite was very nice. Shaded. Good, level spots to put up tents. The bathrooms (vaults) were very clean, smell was fine. Camp host Mel was awesome! Very helpful in all matters (water, firewood, and even jump started our vehicle). Really beautiful surrounding areas. 11 mi canyon is gorgeous, and the Platte River Trail hike is rewarding as long as you go the full distance.

Our campsite was very nice. Shaded. Good, level spots to put up tents. The bathrooms (vaults) were very clean, smell was fine. Camp host Mel was awesome! When we arrived around 6-7pm, our campground was taken by a two seniors. They said host gave the campground to them. But we made the reservation. They didn’t want to move and host was not there. Since it’s dark, we have to share the campsite to that two persons.

Getting There
From Florissant, Colorado, take US Route 24 west for 10.3 mi to the campground
sign. Turn right at sign onto the dirt road and go 0.2 mi to
campground on the right hand side.

The campground is accessible via US Route 24, which is approximately 10.3 miles from Florissant, Colorado.

- Store food securely to prevent bear encounters.

- Exercise caution when traveling to this high elevation area.
- Guests must bring garbage bags as waste must be packed out.
Site types & loops
- RV hookups are not provided at this facility.
- ATVs and off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground.
- Shooting is not allowed within the campground.

- Each site can accommodate two vehicles and up to 8 people.
