To prep for our hike into Lost Creek Wilderness, we camped at SGC, which was convenient. Our campsite (13) was clean and ready, which we appreciated. Being a site in the open, it was warm in the afternoon sun. Many families were camping and enjoying the nearby creek. Most campers were considerate; however, one party engaged in loud conversations until a rain shower moved them into their trailers and tents. The vault restrooms were smelly but usable. I would not hesitate to use SGC again as a trailhead campbsite.

We absolutely love this campground! It's one of the prettiest locations we go to each year. The only downside is that the bathrooms are worse than most we've seen. Lots of flies and not much ventilation. We use a lot of vault toilets, but these ones are extra gross. Still, we will keep coming back here because the site is just super pretty!

Great campground!! Especially the tent sites are the best, it's really not that far to walk your stuff in and you get to camp right next to the river. Sites 9 and 10 are especially lovely. The campground host was awesome, mostly families there so a very chill vibe, and you can hike right from the other side of the river so no need to drive. Bring your tube, so fun! The one issue we had was with aggressive chipmunks, they were super annoying and always trying to steal our food, maybe bring a heavy action packer or something to store your food for when you're not actively eating. Would definitely stay here again.
