Wade, the caretaker, was so considerate and helpful! Swimming and paddle boarding and sailing in the lake, gorgeous views, campfires, a group of 25 of us…all incredible and we will be coming back every summer. There are bear boxes at each site and 3 water pumps and 3 very well kept restrooms throughout Roaring Fork. We loved it!

The campground hosts were very nice, informative, and really did a great job of maintaining the facilities. The restrooms were spotless (the best I have experienced in any USFS campground) and completely supplied for the entire week.
Our campsite was clean and ready for tent camping with a large level tent site that had a mixed gravel base. The tent site drained rain water very well. Although it rained every day, we did not have mud anywhere.
Lake access is easy.
We are planning to go back in 2024.

Very helpful camp hosts. The site was clean with a great view over the tops of the trees to the lake. Despite being an interior site it felt fairly private. The restrooms were incredibly clean and the camp grounds looked well maintained throughout. The ten pad space is adequate but the hill side location minimizes free space. We did manage to fit a large and small tent on the site but it was not ideal. There is only one parking space here.

Beautiful, quiet, and well-kept campground tucked away from the busier areas nearby. We didn't have a view of the lake from our site, but the view of the surrounding mountains was spectacular, too. Excellent stargazing and the Knights Ridge trail right off our site was a gorgeous hike with great views of the other side of the lake and lots of cheeky marmots hanging out on the rocks. Would definitely stay here again.
